About Railroad St. Antiquities
Railroad St. Antiquities is a mother and son owned hobby turned business
venture, established in 2009. Co-owner Susan Curran, a 40 year collector
of antiques and auction frequenter, has had the life-long passion for acquiring
items of interest. In March of 2009, Susan pursued her lifelong dream
of opening an antique store in historic downtown Lena, Illinois to display
her collection of unique treasures with the help of her son, Ralph Pehl.
Ralph (Danny) Pehl is a GIA Graduate Gemologist and private jeweler, no doubt inheriting his mother’s eye and knack for antiques and collectibles. As an entrepreneur and co-owner of Railroad St. Antiquities, Ralph is also the owner of a custom-design jewelry business that offers one-of-a-kind precious jewelry design and manufacturing. Other services include scrap gold buying, estate buying, diamond-brokering services, and consulting.
Both Susan and Ralph spend their time attending auctions and trade shows year long in effort to procure the most unique and unusual items for their collection.
Railroad St. Antiquities specializes in all antiques and collectibles relating to advertising, coin-operated, country and general store items, unique furniture, toys, petroliana, salesman samples, scientific and teaching items, and all items unique and unusual.
We are always in search for items that are truly different!
